BIO

Omari is a Writer-Director from Birmingham, UK. He recently directed JAMIE JOHNSON FC S4 (Strike Global / CBBC), JAMIE’S TREETOP TALES (Zodiak Kids / Sky Kids), and he was 2nd Unit Director on JUST ACT NORMAL (The Forge / BBC Three). He was Shadow Director on SILENT WITNESS, DOCTORS, MALORY TOWERS, JUSTIN'S HOUSE and THE HAIRDRESSER MYSTERIES.

He has written for children’s animated series; PJ MASKS, JOJO & GRAN GRAN, LOVE MONSTER, TIM REX IN SPACE, and live action series DOG SQUAD, NEWTON AVENUE, JUSTIN’S HOUSE, BIFF & CHIP, and JAMIE JOHNSON FC.

​He has developed sereis for BBC Studios, Tall Story Pictures, and Emantata Studios. He is developing an ambitious slate of  series and features, across live-action and animated content for a range of audiences.

He spent 10+ years in animation production management on 2D & CG series such as MR BEAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES (ITVX), HEY DUGGEE (Cbeebies), DENNIS & GNASHER: UNLEASHED (CBBC), 101 DALMATIANS STREET (Disney+), THE TIGER WHO CAME TO TEA (Channel 4), SWALLOWED STAR (Netflix), and high-end CG cinematics for K/DA “MORE”, HALO INFINITE, MAGIC THE GATHERING and was Production Manager on KITTI KATZ (Netflix).​

​He made his short film directorial debut with Results Day, funded by BFI NETWORK, which made the official selection for Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival, Flatpack Film Festival and won 'Best Debut Film' at St Andrews Film Festival.​​​

​

He holds a BA (Hons) in Digital Animation & VFX from Falmouth University, which he completed in 2013.
